Top Gun Maverick is one of the best movies made. This nostalgic sequel takes you into the later years of Lieutenant Pete Maverick. It stays true to all the magic that made the original Top Gun so amazing, with the exception of the kissing. I remember as a kid watching the original Top Gun and my mother having a cow over the quite graphic kissing scene. This movie doesn’t have any of that in it. There is no sex or nudity in this sequel. However, the story lines and relationships are captivating. The flying is over the top. The younger generation of pilots were perfect counterparts to the originals.
There was only one thing that made this movie difficult to show to younger kids. There is a big F bomb that said during one of the flight sequences. Now, some may say that isn’t a big deal. But, for those who are trying to minimize the exposure of such expressions to their children. It just simply wasn’t needed. It makes the movie a strong PG-13. Parents and teens will love it. Ethery thing about this movie screams America is Great! It isn’t damaged by all the politics and political correction that is ruining so many Hollywood blockbusters today.
